Main tasks and functions of the Department of Diplomatic service

To create the necessary conditions for the activities of diplomatic missions, consular institutions and organizations accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of foreign states in the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as diplomatic missions) in the Republic of Uzbekistan, to provide them with comprehensive services, to resolve issues and take appropriate measures to ensure the proper functioning of diplomatic missions;

To provide services to diplomatic missions and implement measures for their accommodation provided for in the international obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

To lease buildings and premises allocated for the accommodation of diplomatic missions and their employees, to assist (mediate) in the execution of lease and purchase agreements for real estate, as well as to ensure the use of these buildings and premises;

Assisting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in resolving issues related to the stay of official delegations of foreign countries in Uzbekistan, organizing international events at the Government level, including in foreign countries, purchasing air tickets for employees traveling on business trips to foreign countries, as well as providing motor transport services;

Representing the interests of diplomatic missions in state bodies and organizations on issues related to the tasks of the Department of Diplomatic service, as well as protecting the labor rights of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan working in diplomatic missions;

Organizing leisure and recreation for employees of diplomatic missions, providing services in the field of tourism, physical education and sports;

Registration (re-registration), deregistration, technical inspection, issuance (replacement) of equivalents of driver's licenses and issuance of registration license plates of vehicles owned or leased by diplomatic missions, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations of foreign states, their representative offices and branches, correspondents, correspondent points (bureaus, offices), trade missions, representative offices of foreign banks and other commercial organizations, permanent establishments, as well as enterprises with foreign investment and capital, as well as foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing or temporarily staying in the Republic of Uzbekistan for personal, official work, study or tourism purposes;

execution of customs documents, declaration of cargo coming to the name of diplomatic missions, customs processing;

execution of necessary documents for the purchase, installation, import and use of radio-electronic communication means and radio-transmitting devices of diplomatic missions;

registration of guests of diplomatic missions, processing of their entry visas and assistance in issuing them visas, processing of documents for departure abroad of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan working in diplomatic missions;

assistance in the technical implementation of the placement of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of fixed-term employment contracts of their local employees in accordance with the relevant application to diplomatic missions, as well as to representative offices of foreign commercial organizations in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, registration of relevant orders on hiring or dismissal, keeping records of seniority, formation and maintenance of work books through the interdepartmental software and hardware complex "Unified National Labor System" provision of printing and publishing activities, production of photo and media products, organization of local and foreign press conferences, briefings and information meetings;

provision of services for legal entities and individuals for oral and written translation of documents, their certified translation, as well as legalization (apostille), legalization and notarization of documents;

Sale/purchase of tickets for air and rail transport, assistance in organizing excursions to historical and cultural monuments of Uzbekistan.
